Empowering Young Professionals for Community Activism: The HAULYP Mission

The mission of The Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals (HAULYP) is to build a positive synergy that will advance activism in the community among young professionals under the age of 40. The Young Professionals are committed to supporting the objectives of the Urban League as it endeavors to improve the quality of life for people of color through economic and political awareness, community development, and real-world education. HAULYP is an auxiliary of the Houston Area Urban League, a non-profit, non-partisan community-based organization and a United Way Agency affiliated with the National Urban League.

Welcome to HAULYP! I am excited about what I know will be an amazing year. In 2026, we are Rooted in Purpose and Rising in Power. For us, it's more than our theme - it’s our call to action. In a time that demands boldness and clarity, HAULYP is moving with intention and centering impact in everything we do. This year, I look forward to building with you, learning from you, and leading alongside you as we shape a future worthy of our legacy.
