Young Invincibles (YI) is seeking interested undergraduate students to join our summer fellowship program, YI Scholars, for a professional and educational experience in Washington, DC, Chicago, or Houston. YI is national, non-profit organization committed to elevating the voices of young adults ages 18 to 34 on economic issues affecting our generation, including health care, higher education, and employment.
YI Scholars will have the opportunity to learn leadership and professional skills, be trained on the issue areas that Young Invincibles advocates for, explore both the non-profit and business sector and participate in educational and networking activities throughout DC, Houston, or Chicago. YI Scholars will get a chance to work across the organization in policy and research, communications, organizing, and business development. This position is full-time, temporary for 10 weeks (June 6 – August 12), and pays a stipend of $5,000. The program also covers the cost of a round trip plane ticket for the fellow to travel to DC, Chicago, or Houston and back home. YI is eager to see a diverse pool of applicants! Preference will be given to first generation college students.
Interested applicants can apply here. Deadline for applications is January 17, 2016 at 12:00 am EST (midnight).
YI will also be hosting two webinars on “Tips to Submitting a Successful YI Scholars’ Fellowship Application” on Monday, December 21. Register here for the 2:00 PM EST webinar or here for the 6:00 pm EST webinar.
