To celebrate Black History Month, the Houston Justice Coalition, Houston-Area Urban League, NAACP and the Houston Metropolitan Chapter of the 100 Black Men will host a candid discussion with prominent Houstonians about the State of Black Houston in 2015.
We will discuss a myriad of topics surrounding criminal justice reform, economic empowerment, African American family structures, mentorship, navigating the local political arena and our image in the media. The purpose of this facilitated dialogue is to address pressing issues in the African American community and to move closer toward victory as a people in the greatest city in the world.
