What do you value about HAULYP?

She joined HAULYP because she wanted to join other like-minded people in giving back to our community.  Rachel thinks it’s really important to pay it forward for two reasons: first as recognition that when you look at people that are less fortunate than you, that that could be you – it may have been you in the past, or it could be you in future, even tomorrow.  So, you pay it forward because you empathize with that person and their situation.  It’s also important to pay it forward because others have done the same so that you could have the opportunities that you’ve had in line, and the ultimate way you show gratitude is to pay it forward by making opportunities available for others.  So, Rachel joined HAULYP because she wanted to pay it forward by giving back to her community, and has been able to do that and then some since joining.

Fun Facts About Rachel

Q. Is it about winning or losing or how you play the game?

This is a tie, really.  I do want to win, or achieve whatever goal I set, but I also want to win my way, so it’s also about how I play the game.  Really, I’m upset if I lose, or if I win in a way that I don’t find acceptable, so it’s a tie.

Q. Any hidden talents?

I can wiggle my ears, both simultaneously and one at a time.
