Thanks to the hard work, now more than 90 percent of the US population has the security health insurance provides. An incredible (and more than expected!) number of people, nearly 13 million, signed up for coverage during this open enrollment season.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the effort, dedication and collaboration of enrollment assisters, outreach coordinators, volunteers, and other health advocates who worked tirelessly over the past several years to make this happen.
1) Special Enrollment Webinar Series
Last year, Young Invincibles hosted a series of webinars focusing on different “qualifying life events” that young adults are likely to experience, like getting married, having a baby or moving to another state. They are doing it again this year to make sure to continue to connect young adults to health coverage all year long. Join their first webinar on Understanding Taxes & Your Health Care by clicking

2) Medicaid Expansion
Young Invincibles are continuing their fight for affordable health coverage for all, and the need for expanding Medicaid. Check out their
fact sheets here and see just how much Medicaid expansion could benefit low-income, uninsured young adults.
3) Health Insurance Literacy Workshops
Millions of people now have health insurance, many for the first time in their lives. Although, everyone is incredibly proud of the work we’ve done to get people covered, we know the work doesn’t end there. Young Invincibles have developed new workshops to help young adults understand their health insurance plan, how to use it and pay for it appropriately, as well as how to be proactive about their health, seek preventive care, and live a healthy life.
